Description of Co-Extruded White High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Pipe

Over time, the effects of UV radiation from the sun can degrade plastics. PE100 pipe is designed for high temperature environments and is ideal for ground installation. PE100 pipes have a highly reflective white outer skin that significantly reduces heat absorption.

During the manufacturing process, the white outer layer is coextruded with the black inner pipe wall to form an integral part of the pipe material. Extensive testing has proven that heat absorption is greatly reduced compared to standard black PE pipes under the same conditions, while maintaining UV stability.

Radiation Absorption: Standard Black PE Pipe is 96%, Co-extruded White PE pipe is 42%.
